Darren is a manager with nearly 25 years experience of working for public services.  He spent 20 years working for the Civil Service where he was responsible for delivering national policy projects.  He has also delivered many projects that have helped change and reform public services.  He is now a manager at Viridian Housing, managing a team of 8 people running a programme of projects aimed at helping residents gain employment, get active in their local community and improve their health and wellbeing. Darren is a keen sportsman playing football, badminton, golf and enjoys the odd run.  Darren believes that sport is something that can really help young people to improve their lives and can give them routes to education and employment that they otherwise would miss out on.
